Keeping up with THAY Medical
Welcome back! As usual we are keeping busy here at THAY Medical. Here are just a few bullet points to keep you up to date on what we are doing at the moment:
We are continuing work on several active projects.
One of our teams is conducting a Human Factors study with children aged 8-12 at our in-house test room in our UK location.
Our lead Human Factors Engineer and his team have just finished testing for a summative study in the US, which was completed to budget, on time and with a happy client.
Our annual ISO 13485:2016 audit took place a few weeks ago. Everything went very well, and we have now received our new certificate, lasting until 2025.
The other week some of the THAY Medical staff attended and exhibited at the annual HFES conference, which this year took place in New Orleans, Louisiana – USA. It was a very interesting and informative event which they greatly enjoyed.
We are preparing for two new Human Factors Engineers to join the company in the upcoming weeks.
We are also preparing for the local charity event we are sponsoring, Teddy Rocks 2022.
Teddy Rocks is a local family friendly rock festival held as a charity. Teddy Rocks started in 2011 as a small gig at a pub in Blandford Forum to raise money for cancer research, which ended up funding the very first official Teddy Rocks event in 2012. Each year the event grew and just 6 years on, the festival has grown to a full weekend camping experience, with 5 stages and over 100 acts performing across 3 days.
The Newton family who organises the festival founded the Teddy20 charity after losing their young son Ted to a rare type of bone cancer. Teddy20 has since developed as an outstanding initiative that offers financial as well as emotional support to children who are undergoing treatment for cancer, and their families. All proceeds from the Teddy Rocks festival goes to Teddy20.
