THAY Medical to attend the ‘PODD’ conference 2026
Reading time required: 2 minutes.
THAY Medical will be sponsoring and presenting at the ‘Partnerships and Opportunities in Drug Delivery’ conference in Boston this month (October 2026).
Introduction
THAY Medical are very happy to be part of the PODD conference this month, this year to spread the word around Human Factors Engineering related to Drug Delivery devices and pharmaceuticals. The event is attended by over 1,000 professionals from CEO’s to Directors to Managers who work in Pharmacetical Organizations and supporting firms in drug discovery, production, devices and consulting services.
What we will be doing there
Whilst many conferences are sales events, we like to educate just a little on our space, our expertise in Human Factors Engineering for drug delivery systems and supporting devices. The space is changing - new regulations and guidances affect what pharmaceutical organizations should do for compliance, but also to really understand their users and how they use their products. Part of this is human factors - the usability of the drug delivery devices, the compliance and also the user satisfaction. The lifecycle of the pharmaceutical product is more important than ever before since the landscape is often competitive and the intellectual property, very enclosed. Also, users, patients have much more choice now to choose what they prefer, what may suit them more individually (‘personalized medicines’) and what they find easiest to incorporate into their daily lives.
So, Greg Thay, our Founder, and Principal Human Factors Consultant will be presenting on a specific aspect of Human Factors Engineering, and hopefully enlightening the audience to this niche area of drug device development. With current projects in this space, tests, studies being performed, we have a good insight into what patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals are seeking, what they can do and what they really want to do.
Conclusion
In summary, THAY Medical are excited to be present at PODD 2026, and we look forwards to meeting many like-minded professionals who have an interest in drug delivery devices, their use and the future trends that will impact pharmaceutical organizations in years to come. If anyone wishes to connect to our Founder, Greg Thay on LinkedIn, please do so. We will be reporting this conference in a future blog post also, so please look back next month to hear all about it if you are not planning to attend.
