Wound-care and cosmetic devices are commonly researched and tested by THAY Medical. We have a good understanding of how users want to treat their wounds, and enhance their skin. The key elements of usable wound-care devices, dressings and cosmetics treatments, are the ability to be simple to apply, manage and dispose of. Many use similar methods of application – sterile dressings, negative-pressure electronic devices, injections and infusions, as well as natural methods of treatment. All require evidence of usability, efficiency and clinical performance.
We simulate the use environments that these products and devices are used in. We have portable test equipment to replicate the use environment of all wound-care and cosmetic devices. We perform formative and summative usability and human factors tests in locations such as:
- Operating Rooms,
- Hospital wards,
- Single patient ward rooms,
- Beauty clinics,
- Home-care environments.
We can recruit specialist healthcare professionals, caregivers and patients for evaluation of the usability of these types of devices – Surgeons, Tissue Viability Nurses, Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Ward Nurses, Beauticians, Cosmetic Surgeons and Dermatologists in the countries we most frequently research and test in.
